Abstract Submission: General Guidelines

  • Deadline: March 31, 2022.

  • Presenters may submit a paper (no more than three individually or collectively) and/or presentation proposal for a panel, including at least three higher teaching institutions from two or more countries.

  • Proposals should be submitted by upload document accordingly with the template above referring to a brief description outlining the proposed presentation.

  • Poster abstract should not exceed 500 words (excluding references).
  • Paper abstract should not exceed 500 words (excluding references).

  • Panel abstract should not exceed 1000 words (excluding references).

  • Priority will be given to presentations, which address the conference theme. However, topics and themes on curriculum studies outside the conference theme are welcomed.

  • Abstracts must be submitted in English or Portuguese or Spanish.

  • Abstracts may be proposed for oral papers and panels.

  • Abstracts must be submitted via the website only. Abstracts submitted by fax or e-mail will not be accepted.

  • Abstracts must be original and must not have been published or presented at any other meeting before the IAACS Conference.

  • A confirmation e-mail will be sent to you when your abstract has been received.

  • All submissions are peer-reviewed by the IAACS Scientific Committee. Criteria include the worldwide significance of the research questions, the soundness of the methodology, the appropriateness of the methods to the research questions, the importance of the findings, and the overall logic and clarity of the conclusions and implications of the research. The Scientific Committee will determine whether abstracts will be accepted based on blind review. They will endeavor to schedule abstracts according to authors' preferences but reserve the right to decide on the final form of presentation.

  • Abstract submitters can expect to receive notification regarding the acceptance of their abstract within the time abstract submission deadline.

  • Please ensure that all information is accurate.

  • Only the abstracts of authors who have paid their registration fees will be accepted, scheduled for presentation, and published.

  • Please note that abstracts will not be considered unless submitted before the final abstract submission deadline.

  • If you have already submitted your abstract, we will save it in our abstract submission system. You will be able to log in to edit your abstract. Alternatively, you can ask us to withdraw it. Preparing your Abstract for Submission

Before you begin, please prepare the following information:

  • The abstract for papers or posters should not exceed 500 words. It should include the following details (theme, proponent(s), institution(s), e-mail (s), overview/summary of the paper, a short synopsis of theoretical and methodological approaches, as applicable, key findings and/or conclusion, significance of the paper).

  • The abstract for panels should not exceed 1000 words. It should include the following details (theme, proponents, institutions, e-mails, overview/summary of the panel, a short synopsis of theoretical and methodological approaches, as applicable, key findings and/or conclusion, significance of the panel).

 

Submission of your complete text (papers and/or panels)

  • The full text will be published by proceedings e-book (ISNN).
  • Final papers submission timeline: May 15 – June 25, 2022 (23:59 London Time)
